RIP Angelo Dundee

Angelo Dundee, a legendary boxing trainer and cornerman passed away last Wednesday.

In boxing, and in many combat sports, it is often the fighter, not the trainer, who gets the glory. More people know the names of Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, or Carmen Basilio than they do the name of Angelo Dundee. He knew it himself.
"The fighter is the hero. He’s the guy. We [trainers] are secondary guys. We’re not I, I, I. You can’t be an ‘I’ guy. I’m not an ‘I’ guy."
While he's right in many ways, he's a man worth remembering and studying. He'll be missed.
