Sityodtong Winning Streak Continues

This past Saturday, three more Sityodtong fighters stepped into the cage at Untamed 19 in Plymouth.

Scott Rehm won by a first round TKO, after a vicious slam put his opponent on his back. For a big guy, Scott is phenomenally quick, and the apparent ease with which he lifted his opponent off the ground was just staggering.

Eddie Saldana won in the first round by tap out due to a standing guillotine choke [video link, may contain sound] (against a much taller opponent). This was one of the highlights of the night for me; I was in Eddie’s corner for the fight, and I’ve been putting a lot of time in with him over the past several months. Eddie is really starting to improve and evolve as a fighter, and has come a long way from when he first came to Sityodtong. I’m looking forward to seeing him get better and better.

Chris Cape won by tap out in the second round, after a crazy scramble with both fighters looking for leg locks, arm bars, and anything else they could find. Despite a small cut over his left eye, Chris pushed the pace and got the win.

The other highlight of the night, for me, was that my father was able to come down from Syracuse to watch the fights. It was very, very cool to be able to share that experience with him. Hopefully next time he’s down, I’ll be one of the guys in the ring.
